Holiday Schedule: 2020 Edition

My Dear Clients,

I hope everyone is safely enjoying this last bit of fall weather before the frost settles in. I can’t believe Thanksgiving is just over a week away. I don’t plan on taking as much time off for the holidays this year, since we won’t be traveling during the pandemic. Still the popular days are getting booked up already, so please book your appointments now if you can. I know it’s tough to make advance plans these days when it seems like everything is constantly changing. I understand these are crazy times, and I have relaxed my cancellation policy accordingly. Please try to give as much notice as you can, should you need to reschedule.

The schedule adjustments for the holidays are as follows:

Thanksgiving -

Wed 11/25: normal hours 11 - 7

Thur 11/26: closed

Fri 11/27: closed

Sat 11/28: normal hours 11 - 7

Christmas -

Thur 12/24: closing early at 3pm

Fri 12/25: closed

Sat 12/26: closed

New Year’s Eve

Thur 12/31: closing early at 5:30pm

Fri 1/1/2021: Closed

Sat 1/2/2021: normal hours 11-7

With all of the drastic changes we’ve gone through since March, I’ll be adjusting my schedule to keep up with this new normal. I’m curious about what preferences you have for days of the week and what time of day for your appointments. I want to know what would be most helpful to all of my clients and I can adapt accordingly. Weekends? Evening hours? Mornings? What works best for you? I’d love to know.

On the topic of new changes, I’m now offering an exciting new anti-aging treatment called Rewind. From the trusted professionals at Brazillian Blowout, it’s a quick add-on service that increases bounce, reduces frizz, restores shine & vitality, and lasts about 10 washes. If you have any questions, or want to add it to your next appointment, just let me know.

You can now also book waitlist appointments on the website. If you can’t find the appointment time you’re looking for, you can just book your second choice and then add your name to the waitlist for your first choice. If there’s a cancellation, you’ll get moved up. And with all the last minute adjustments I’ve been seeing lately, this could be a very helpful tool to make the most of things these days.

As usual I’m always here for you if you have questions or need advice about your hair. I understand that not everyone can come back to the salon right now because of distance, finances or safety concerns. And that’s perfectly ok- but trust that I am here to help if you need anything. Even if you have no hair questions- I’d love to know how you are doing.

Speaking of Keeping in Touch, I’m very proud to say that New York Magazine has been soliciting my expert opinion lately. I’m happy to share the two different articles that I’ve been quoted in recently!

We are of course continuing to be diligent in our covid-clean processes to keep everyone as safe as possible. Jeff has migrated our check-in process to a paperless system. This lets us stay Covid compliant by collecting the required info, but stores it on our secure wind-powered servers instead of a stack of paper in a file cabinet. We will continue to streamline and adapt our system to fit the winter months as best we can. We’re always exploring new ways to exceed the safety mandates, all while trying to minimize any unfriendly eco impact as much as possible. We will always try to equally hold the ideals of sustainability & beauty to provide the highest quality of service, but prioritizing safety above all else.

I hope to see you all at the salon soon- or at least hear how you’re doing wherever you are. I wish everyone a safe, secure, and happy winter holiday season.

With Warm Thanks,

Fiona and Jeff
