An April Update From Fiona

Updated: Jun 10, 2020

My Dear Clients,

I hope everyone is holding up well at home and that everyone is healthy and sane and secure.

It’s looking like this is going to go on for a while and the salon will be closed for the rest of April, potentially longer than that.  I’ve always said that I’m a real world hairdresser and I try to come up with real world solutions for hair.  Well, this is our real world now so let’s make some solutions.

Some people will be completely fine to wait a long while to get your hair done again.  Some of you won’t.  And it’s all going to be okay.  If you want help or advice about your hair, let me know.  If you need a digital consultation, or for me to show you how to trim your own bangs or eyebrows or undercut-  let me know.  If you need a pick-up kit of hair color for you to do at home, I can do that.  Alternatively, I can advise about what to get online if that’s what solves your unique problem.  We can come up with a game plan for how to get through this.

So many industries have been decimated by this pandemic.  Unfortunately my industry is one of them.  In this email and on my website I will link to a site with a fund to help the hairdressers that are currently out of work just like me all across the nation.  If you wish to support the fund it is greatly appreciated.  I will also link to my Venmo and PayPal accounts if you wish to give to this hairdresser specifically and a link to buy a gift certificate for a future hair appointments.

I’d love to hear how everyone is doing.  I understand now more than ever how much I love my job, how much I love seeing people, connecting and making them happy and feel beautiful.  I miss the artistic outlet and collaboration.  I’m doing classes at home, working on hair mannequins, learning new techniques, and brushing up on old skills.  But it’s just not quite the same without you in my chair.

So I will be in practice, filled with knowledge and inspiration and so very ready to see you all in the salon - as soon as it’s safely possible.  Please stay safe, healthy, positive, and of course- wash your hands!

Looking forward to seeing you all in person soon,

Fiona

Well said Fiona! As a massage therapists I miss my clients too! It’s just not the same giving verbal or text advice but we do what we can. I look forward to you getting your ACTUAL hands on me soon!
